E-Learning

Welcome
Welcome to our e-learning section.
Here, we collate and provide 24/7 access to online, nationally quality-assured materials.
Programmes cover subjects from audiology to anaesthesia, dentistry to dermatology, emergency medicine to end of life care, primary care to prescribing, safeguarding children to statutory and mandatory training.

E-Learning for Healthcare
E-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) is a Health Education England (HEE) Programme working in partnership with the NHS and professional bodies to support patient care by providing e-learning to educate and train the health and social care workforce.
Improving Health Literacy
The course can help staff and students quickly learn easy-to-use techniques to improve communication, supporting the understanding of the people they treat and care for. As a result, patients, families and carers will be able to make better health and wellbeing choices.

Gateway C
Six Gateway C GM Live Webinars have been delivered by the Cancer Alliance in line with the request and steer from primary care and GP Board members to offer shorter and more succinct webinars on topics relating to pathways in GM. Webinars delivered to date are listed below with links to the resources available.
Each GM webinar is promoted widely in advance and is followed up with a full length recording, a shorter and illustrated/animated version of the video, and an infographic summarising the key points from the webinar. The link to the Gateway C website is here with specific links below https://www.gatewayc.org.uk/free-webinars-gm/
Professional Bodies
RCGP: The intended audience for their e-learning materials are GPs and primary healthcare professionals, GP Specialty Trainees and GP Educators.
RCN(I): RCNi Learning is an interactive, online and mobile resource designed to help nurses meet continuing professional development requirements and to help students bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Webinars
The Wigan Borough primary care education webinars are fortnightly education sessions delivered remotely and are accessible to all clinical members of staff. Speakers and subjects will vary depending on audience demand and opportunities to bring in expert speakers. We aim to leave participants feeling informed, confident and supported in dealing with the subjects covered.
