The Greater Manchester Training hub invites NMC registered nurses who are new to general practice or returning to practice onto the foundation in General Practice Nursing Course.
The course offers 1 day per week protected learning time over 25 weeks with salary support available to the practice. This is a programme for nurses new to general practice and who hold a salaried role.
This course seeks to help nurses new or returning to practice develop their clinical skills and experience to be able to confidently deliver patient care in the primary setting. Key modules include cytology, immunisations and chronic disease management that can take a number of years at a cost to the practice to train up a nurse.
